As part of the OhioHealth Symphony Series, this concert is proudly led by the Symphony’s esteemed Music Director and Conductor, Octavio Más-Arocas.

John Williams, widely regarded as one of the greatest composers in cinematic history, has crafted some of the most memorable film scores of our time. This symphonic tribute will bring his unforgettable soundtracks to life, featuring selections from fan favorites Star Wars, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and many more. Patrons can expect an evening filled with emotion, imagination, and musical enchantment as they are transported to distant galaxies, magical realms, and thrilling adventures.

In addition to the film scores, the concert will also highlight renowned trumpeter Justin Emerich performing David Biedenbender's powerful Trumpet Concerto, making this a must-see event for music lovers of all kinds.

Music Director Más-Arocas shares, “John Williams is widely recognized as the greatest composer in the modern era - the most successful and influential film composer in history, and the second most nominated individual in Academy Awards history, only behind Walt Disney. His collaborations with Stephen Spielberg and George Lucas are legendary. Along with a beautiful and powerful new trumpet concerto by David Biedenbender, performed by Justin Emerich - one of the most incredible trumpeters of his generation - the Mansfield Symphony will perform some of Wiliams’ most iconic melodies. John Williams is a legend, and this concert will be an unmissable tribute to the genius musician!”

Soloist Justin Emerich is a nationally renowned trumpeter who has toured with renowned ensembles including Pink Martini and the Canadian Brass. His impressive career spans performances with top orchestras like the Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, with a special call-out from the San Francisco Chronicle as a “superb soloist” for his performance with the San Francisco Symphony. An avid chamber musician, he currently serves as Associate Professor of Trumpet at the Michigan State University College of Music.
