Richland County

Mansfield

Due to construction, the fireworks display on July 5 at 10 p.m. at Charles Mill Lake Park will not be open to the public. Only campers are permitted access to the park.

Crestline

The Crestline Lions Club once again presents fireworks on Thursday, July 3, at 10 p.m. From Old Hutson Stadium. The rain date is July 5.

Bellville

Bellville will hold its annual Light up the Valley celebration on Sunday, June 29, from noon to 11 p.m. at 120 Hines Ave. Kevin Conaway takes the stage from 4-6 p.m., followed by Emily Raff from 7-10 p.m. Activities include food trucks, a cruise-in from 1-4 p.m., and kids’ activities culminating with fireworks at 10 p.m. Stay tuned to the Light up the Valley Facebook page for more details.

Ontario

Marshall Park will host Ontario’s 2025 4th of July Festival on Friday and Saturday, June 27-28. A car show features classic cars from 5:15 to 8 p.m. on Friday, and the corn hole tournament starts at 6 p.m.

Saturday activities start at 8:30 a.m. with the Ontario Liberty 5K run at Ontario High School. Other activities include fair food, Kids Zone, food-eating contests, and a Patriotic Pooch Parade at 3 p.m. The professional sky diving team Fasttrax will land at 3:25, signaling the start of the 4th of July parade at 3:30.

Live performances are slated for Friday and Saturday and include the Jimi Vincent Band. Check the event website for additional details about performers and activities.

A fireworks show Saturday night at 10:10 will be synchronized with music on Mix 106.1FM WVNO.

Shelby

The annual Shelby Bicycle Days runs July 11-12. Food trucks, vendors, and a beer garden are staples of both days.

Friday activities include Michael Mage the Magician, a dance performance, and live entertainment showcasing Tom’s Kitchen Table.

Saturday events include a dunk tank, a bike decorating contest at 11 a.m., and a parade at 2 p.m., followed by a pie auction. Gone Sovereign is the featured entertainment.

The festival culminates with a fireworks display at dusk on Saturday.

Crawford County

Galion

Galion’s fireworks display is slated for July 4 at dusk at 5 Heise Park Lane. The fireworks are part of the Pickle Run Festival, slated for Saturday, July 5.

The 42nd annual Galion YMCA Pickle Run 5K run, 2-mile walk, and kids fun run are set for Saturday morning, July 5, at 8:30. The YMCA’s pickle ball tournament starts at 11 a.m. Check the Pickle Run Festival Facebook page for updates.

Bucyrus

Bucyrus' fireworks will be downtown Bucyrus on Thursday, July 3rd at dusk, hosted by the Bucyrus Kiwanis.

Knox County

Fredericktown

Fredericktown July 4 activities at Sockman Community Park include five food trucks, fire department Bingo, and free swimming at Sockman Lake from noon to 7 p.m. The annual softball tournament starts at 8 a.m., and the ever-popular car show runs from 4 to 8 p.m. Bingo runs from 3-10 p.m.

Live music includes Stevie Eyer, Travis Beeman, and The Broken Spokes. A fireworks display at 10 p.m. synced with WMVO tops off the day’s activities.

Danville

The Danville community is invited to a “Light up the Night” fireworks event on Thursday, July 3, at Darci Field. KB Tire and Auto coordinates the event, which starts at 5 p.m. and includes food vendors, games, music, and good old-fashioned fun.

Centerburg

Centerburg USA Days will take place June 26-28 at Memorial Park. Thursday is Kids/Teens Night. Festival activities include a Little Miss Liberty and Little Uncle Sammy pageant, karaoke, kids/adults rides, baby crawling contest, games, and a parade. Live entertainment includes Nicks and Tricks, Appalachian Outlaws, and the Soul Brothers. A parade is scheduled for Saturday morning with fireworks at dusk. Visit their Facebook page for updates.

Gambier

Gambier’s annual celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Independence Day. Gaskin Avenue will close between Wiggin Street and Brooklyn Street.

Mayor Leeman Kessler will kick off the activities at 11 a.m. with a proclamation. He will also present the 2025 Citizen of the Year and Poet Laureate awards.

Parade entrants will line up at 11:15 across from the fire station and step out at 11:30. Anyone interested in participating can email utilityclerk@villageofgambier.org.

After the parade, residents are invited to gather on the lawn of the Kenyon Inn to enjoy ice cream, sundaes, and games. The Shuman Band will present live musical entertainment.

Mount Vernon

Ariel-Foundation Park will again take center stage for the city’s Fourth of July celebration, and this year, it will be extra special as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the park.

Entertainment features Creedence Revived, a premier Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band. Be prepared to be wowed by renditions such as “Have you Ever Seen the Rain,” “Proud Mary,” and “Bad Moon Rising.”

Creedence Revived will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Opening for Creedence Revived are Three Times the Charm at 5:30 p.m. and Sirens Trio at 6:15.

Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.

The Schnormeier Event Center and food service open at 5 p.m.

Apple Valley

Apple Valley Property Association will hold its fireworks celebration on Saturday, July 6, at 10 p.m. Residents must present a current AV Property Owners Association ID to visit any of the facilities.

The second annual boat parade, sponsored by the Apple Valley Lake Social Club, will start at 5 p.m. on July 4 from Sutton Beach.

Ashland County

Ashland

Ashland Main Street will once again present the Push ‘Em Pull ‘Em Parade on July 4. Registration opens at 9 a.m. at Substance Church, 101 South St. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to wear patriotic attire and decorate their bikes, wagons, scooters, and skateboards in a patriotic theme.

The Rotary Club of Ashland will once again present a fireworks display at Freer Field on July 4 at 9:45 p.m. The rain date is July 5. Bring blankets and lawn chairs to view the display while listening live on WRDL https://wrdlfm.com or WNCO https://1013wnco.iheart.com.

The AMF Big Jazz Band will bring the sound of swing on July 3 at the Guy C. Myers Band Shell. July 6 highlights Rare Vintage 10 featuring the hits of Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire.

Loudonville

The Loudonville Chamber of Commerce will host its Independence Day fireworks celebration on July 4 from 9 to 10 p.m. at Riverside Park. The rain date is July 5.

Continue the weekend activities with the 25th annual car show on Saturday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event, rated #1 in the Top 10 downtown events in Cruisin’ Times Magazine five times, includes food, a raffle, and downtown shopping.

Perrysville

Pleasant Hill Lake Park will feature fireworks at dusk. Activities July 4-6 include live music, Movie at the Lake, and a hot dog eating contest.
