'Reverse Suspension' Is A Genius Way To Motivate Kids To Behave At School

In-school and out-of-school suspension is so last year.

Huntington Middle School in West Virginia has come up with a unique-- and effective-- way to deal with a student's poor behavior: reverse suspension, which requires the parent of the suspended student to attend class with their child.

According to Principal Frank Barnett, this “creative method for addressing non-violent, non–verbally abusive behavior has helped the school reduce student suspensions by two-thirds.” Barnett also said the number of bad behavior incidents has been cut in half.

Nothing like a little parental embarrassment to motivate a kid.
