Ashland County Accused Serial Killer Trial

The trial for accused serial killer Shawn Grate is going on in Ashland County Common Pleas Court.    RichlandSource.com reports, Ashland County Prosecutor Chris Tunnell during his opening arguments said “This is not a who done it case, but a he did it case.” Tunnell went on to tell the jury about the two decomposing bodies that were found strangled inside of the home Grate was staying.

The 41 year old Grate confessed to killing 5 women and kidnapping another.  Only 2 of the alleged murders are involved in Ashland County.  Grate, if convicted, is possibly looking at the death penalty.  Grate was indicted on 23 felony counts, which include 4 counts of aggravated murder.
