Mansfield City Council is considering an extension of the B&O Bike Trail. Councilman Cliff Mears tells WMAN News it would be a 1.25 mile addition to the bike trail. The extension would extend on Trimble from where Akron Children’s Hospital Clinic is being built and go west on Trimble. The proposed cost would be right around $1million. The hope is to get an ODOT grant for about $900,000 to help fund a majority of the project. Council will vote on the extension Oct 2nd. The City of Mansfield’s cost would be about $90,000. The extension could open up by late 2020 or early 2021.
