Company looking for fossil fuel in Ashland,Richland Counties Stops Drilling

A company is looking for fossil fuels in Ashland and Richland Counties has hit the pause button, according to RichlandSource.com. Cabot Oil and Gas, a company is based out of Houston, set up shop in the area and had plans on drilling 5 exploratory wells by the end of last year. The company said by ceasing drilling operations, they don’t feel the need to collect more data. Cabot Oil and Gas went on to say the area is unlikely to yield results that generate long term value creation for our shareholders. The company opened up in the former PNC Bank location on Main St in the village of Jeromesville back in August and plans to close when its monthly lease is up.
