Julianne Hough Mourns The Loss Of Her Dogs After They Die On Same Day

This is so incredibly sad. Julianne Hough took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news that both of her beloved cavalier kings, Lexi and Harley, passed away on the same day. Though she didn't reveal how she lost her sweet pups, she wrote a lengthy message for her late dogs that will certainly put you in your feels. "Pure love is real, it existed through us. My heart expanded and felt the truth of what is possible. I am forever grateful. Thank you for your love," Julianne wrote in her emotional tribute.

The former Dancing With the Stars cast member then went on to thank Lexi and Harley for everything they did for her over the years. You may want to grab some tissues before reading her touching words. "Thank you for being my babies, my daughters. Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for teaching me how to be your mother. Thank you for allowing me to give and receive love. Thank you for your kisses," she wrote. "Thank you for your blessings every single minute of every single day. Thank you for your souls. Thank you for protecting me. Thank you for letting me protect you. Thank you for protecting each other. Thank you for the timeless memories. Thank you for your magic. Thank you for being the most consistent and constant beings in my life. Thank you for being you. Thank you for being my guardians on this earth and even more so now."

Lexi and Harley both died a few weeks ago on Sept. 28. While Julianne's post stayed away from the circumstances surrounding their deaths, her brother, Derek Hough, revealed in his own Instagram tribute for the dogs that the cavalier kings met an "abrupt end." Lexi was 11 at the time of her passing, while Harley was 8. The typical lifespan of a cavalier king is between 12 and 15 years.

Julianne received an outpouring of love and support from her friends and fans. "Sending you all the love and good thoughts. Oh Friend... I'm so sorry but what a beautiful tribute to them. There is no love like the unconditional love of our pets," Mandy Moore wrote. "I love you. I love them. They are together. Forever," hairstylist Riawna Capri added.

Rest in peace, Lexi and Harley.
