Ashland Water Rates To Rise 12%

The cost of water in Ashland is set to rise this summer.

According to RichlandSource.com, residents could see water rates increase by as much as 12% by July and there will be a new surcharge of $3 for residential customers, $7 for a business and $15 for a large commercial operation.

Prices are expected to go up 12% each year until 2025 and then 2% each year until 2031. The reason is to keep the water and wastewater departments in good financial shape and pay for future needed projects.
