2024 Ohio Deer Gun Season, Most Harvested in 13 years

Ohio’s deer gun season last week, December 1st - 8th, had the most deer harvested in 13 years.

Ohio hunters, according to ODNR checked just over 87,000 white tailed deer – the most since 90,000 in 2011.

Knox county was 5th most in the state with over 2,500, while Ashland county was 9th with nearly 1,900. There will be another two days of deer gun season on December 21st and 22nd.
