Jamie Lee Curtis' thoughts are with the people of Los Angeles amid the devastating wildfires spreading around the city.

The Freaky Friday star got emotional while appearing on the Wednesday (January 8) episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, admitting she was "literally just about to cry" as she addressed the fires around the Pacific Palisades, per Page Six.

"As you know, where I live is on fire right now," she said. "Literally the entire city of the Pacific Palisades is burning."

Curtis, who lives in LA with her husband Christopher Guest, revealed that she had people reaching out to her as she flew to New York City on Tuesday.

She added, "It's f---ing gnarly. It's just a catastrophe. This is literally where I live. Everything. The market I shop in, the schools my kids go to ... many, many, many friends have lost their homes. It's a really awful situation. I'm also gonna go home first thing tomorrow and be with. my family and try to help my friends."

Prior to her appearance on The Tonight Show, Curtis shared that her family was safe amid the "terrifying situation" and thanked the firefighters and "good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze."

The Halloween actress also penned a heartfelt message on Instagram offering words of encouragement and pleas to check out loved ones who may live in the area. She shared photos of the destruction from the fires that have ravaged the city over the last several days, leaving homes and businesses decimated and leading thousands of people to evacuate.

"This is the moment to reach out to anyone who lives in Los Angeles, who you think might be in some sort of traumatic shock and grief about losing their homes and the devastation of their neighborhoods and communities and offer your hand, home and resources. We are going to have to come together, as we may never have done before, in the City of Angels and help each other. AND WE WILL!"
