Drake had a wild reaction after someone gave him a DeMar DeRozan jersey while onstage.
On Monday, February 17, a video from The Boy's recent tour stop in Sydney, Australia went viral. Drizzy was performing his and 21 Savage's hit "Rich Flex" when a fan threw a basketball jersey on stage. At first, Drake held the jersey bunched up in his hand as he continued his set. Once he unraveled the jersey, Drake looked visibly disgusted after he realized it had DeRozan's name and number on the back. He immediately crumbled it up and forcefully threw it on the ground.
Drake and DeRozan's beef has been going on since last year. Their issues began after the Sacramento Kings player supported Kendrick Lamar during the Compton native's battle with Drizzy last summer. DeRozan co-signed Lamar's "Not Like Us" and appeared at "The Pop Out" with LeBron James. Drake responded by dissing the former Toronto Raptor while commentating on the Kings vs. Raptors game last fall.
"If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I'll pull that thing down myself," Drake said.
Drizzy has yet to forgive his former friends DeMar and LeBron for siding with Lamar during their beef. The Canadian rapper took things further when dissed both of them in his "Fighting Irish Freestyle."
There's no telling what else Drake will do to his enemies while onstage. Once he wraps up his tour down under, the 38-year-old artist will take over Wireless Festival this summer. Drake will headline all three nights with special guests Summer Walker, Vybz Kartel, Burna Boy and more. He plans to serve up different setlists for each night of the festival. General sale tickets will go on sale this Wednesday.
