Tony Chinni, the interim CEO of NECIC, North End Community Improvement Collaborative, has resigned.

According to RichlandSource.com, Chinni was appointed into the interim role 6 months ago, when NECIC founder, Deanna West-Torrence, moved to the West Coast and stepped down.

NECIC board president, Phil Mazzocco, will be the acting CEO and also announced they are reducing their staffing level by eliminating 3 positions, along with some hours for other positions being reduced too.

Mazzocco said, the departure of Chinni was unexpected and a search is underway for a new CEO.

Tony Chinni joined NECIC, when it first started in 2007.
