The Madison and Mifflin Township Fire departments responded to a crash on Monday morning on State Route 42, near Halls Auto Sales.
Crews arrived on scene just before 8:30 am, and found a box truck in the ditch on its side. The truck had broken a utility pole in the accident, and live electric lines were laying on vehicle.
Ohio Edison was called to turn off the electricity and firefighters were able to get the driver and passenger out safely with no injuries. Ronks Towing assisted at the scene of the crash, which took place on the boundary line of Madison and Mifflin townships.
