Mansfield Hospital to Provide Education Resources at Minority Health Fair

MANSFIELD, Ohio- OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital will have a strong presence at the 26th Annual Minority Health Fair in Mansfield, Ohio. The event, organized by the NAACP Branch #3190, will have representatives from more than 20 community organizations to share educational resources. It will be held on Saturday, April 26th, at Providence Baptist Church on West 6th Street from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

OhioHealth will have information on its’ cancer services, stroke resources, behavioral and mental health services, diabetes education and nutrition, and organ donation. In addition, OhioHealth’s Annette Baxter BSN, RN, CDCES will present on diabetes education, and Anthony Brown MSN, FNP, BRN, a behavioral health nurse, will speak on overcoming homelessness and addiction.

“OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital believes in keeping care local,” said Angela Brooks-Wright DMin, manager of the Pastoral Care Department at Mansfield Hospital. “Participating in the NAACP Minority Health Fair affords us an opportunity to meet our community members where they are. We are then able to highlight our providers and the services available to meet the needs of those we serve.”

The event is free and open to the public. Health screenings will also be available.
