On August 12th, 2025 the Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service involving a male subject who sustained an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the thigh.
Deputies arrived on scene and provided assistance. The individual was transported by Homer EMS for medical treatment. At this time, there is no indication of foul play, and the incident appears to be accidental.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
