Mansfield, OH: The City of Mansfield Parks & Recreation Department is inviting residents to help shape the future of aquatic recreation in Mansfield by participating in a Public Pool Feasibility Study. The City has partnered with Counsilman-Hunsaker & Associates, Inc., a nationally recognized aquatics consulting firm, to gather community input and evaluate the potential for a future public pool facility.
As part of this effort, the City is requesting residents take part in an online public opinion survey designed to better understand community needs, priorities, and expectations related to a potential public pool. Feedback collected through this survey will play a key role in guiding planning, design considerations, and long-term decision-making.
“This study is really about listening,” said Mike Woogerd, Parks Superintendent. “Public spaces are most successful when they reflect the needs and values of the community they serve. We encourage residents to participate and share their voices—this is an opportunity to help shape something that could benefit Mansfield families for generations to come.”
The feasibility study will assess community demand, potential amenities, site considerations, and preliminary cost estimates associated with constructing and operating a public pool facility. Counsilman-Hunsaker will analyze the collected feedback and present findings to City leadership as part of a comprehensive planning process.
