ASHLAND CITY SCHOOL EMPLOYEE RESIGNATION

Ashland City Schools is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and families. On the evening of Thursday, April 16th, 2026, the district placed one Edison Elementary Noon Duty Paraprofessional/Bus Driver employee on Paid Administrative Leave following allegations of misconduct. Ashland City Schools accepted the resignation of this employee on the evening of Sunday April 19th, 2026. This is a separate set of allegations from an Ashland City Schools Noon Duty Paraprofessional/Bus Driver that was terminated for misconduct on the evening of Tuesday April 14th, 2026. Both individuals were immediately removed from their duties once the district became aware of these concerns. We have been committed to ensuring a fair and comprehensive process for all individuals involved. At this time, there is no ongoing risk to students, and appropriate steps have been taken to maintain a safe school environment. Student and staff safety remains our highest priority. As part of our core value to “create a circle of safety,” we will continue to take all concerns seriously and act decisively to uphold a safe and respectful school environment.
