Alleged Assault Charge Against Former Ashland School Employee

A former employee of the Ashland City Schools is now facing a criminal charge.

AshlandSource.com reports that Brett Martin, 65, has been charged with misdemeanor assault, according to Ashland Police and Ashland Municipal Court.

A police report said, Martin appeared to break up an argument during his lunch duties and during the argument, allegedly, slapped an 8-year old, 2nd grade student in the face.

Ashland Superintendent, Steve Paramore, said, Martin was fired the same day, April 14th, based on video and police evidence.
