Joe Trolian, the former executive director of Richland County Mental Health and Recovery Services, has been found guilty of 7 criminal charges, which include having an unlawful interest in a public contract.
According to RichlandSource.com, the 56 year old Trolian had been executive director from 2007 until he was dismissed by the board in 2023. There is no jail time for Trolian, who was ordered to pay a fine of $2,500 and court costs. The state auditor said, Trolian allegedly used his public position to secure a contract that he knew would benefit his wife, among other issues.
