3 Dead, 11 Injured in Shooting at Jacksonville Video Game Tournament

A gunman opened fire at a video game tournament being held at a shopping plaza in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sunday afternoon. Three people, including the gunman, died and 11 more were injured. CNN reports that the shooter, identified as 24-year-old David Katz of Baltimore, took his own life after firing at people attending the tournament for the football video game Madden NFL 19. Gamers told WJAX-TV that Katz, who was known as "Bread" in the online gaming community, "snapped" and began targeting his rivals after being defeated in the tournament. He reportedly used a semiautomatic handgun in the assault.
