The last U.S. Blockbuster standing is being honored with a limited-edition craft beer. Extra Crispy reports that Bend, Oregon's 10 Barrel Brewing is whipping up a schwarzbier (a.k.a. a German dark lager) called "The Last Blockbuster" to honor their hometown's store. The beer has "nuances of red licorice," according to a press release, and “pairs perfectly with buttery theater popcorn and your favorite movie-sized chocolate with a light body, smooth finish, and hints of nostalgia.” The beer debuts September 21 at the Blockbuster, and will then be rolled out at 10 Barrel's brewpubs.
