Bret Hart Attacked by Fan During WWE Hall of Fame Speech

Bret Hart got jumped by a fan while attempting to give his speech at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday. ESPN reports that 61-year-old Hart was standing at a podium in the ring at New York's Barclay Center when a fan pulled the retired wrestler down. A group then jumped into the ring in an attempt to subdue the fan. It included WWE champion Ronda Rousey's husband Travis Browne, a UFC heavyweight who threw some punches at the fan. "An over-exuberant fan surpassed our security at ringside and made his way briefly into the ring," the WWE says in a statement about the incident. "The individual has been turned over to the proper authorities." After the altercation, Hart went on the finish his speech. According to CBS News, 26-year-old Zachary Madsen was arrested on assault and criminal trespassing charges.
