Halsey Releases Ticked-Off New Single "Nightmare" & Dystopian Video

Halsey is fed up with people trying to control her actions or looks. That's evident from her new single, "Nightmare," which pairs menacing, hip-hop-tinged verses with a crashing, aggressive chorus. The song's lyrics express frustration ("I'm tired and angry, but somebody should be"), rail against women being told to smile, and express such self-preserving sentiments as, "I keep a record of the wreckage in my life/I gotta recognize the weapon in my mind." The "Nightmare" release comes paired with a dystopian video that includes a woman-centric brawl and Halsey wandering around a fiery junkyard. The clip also features Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse, as well as a brief cameo from Blondie's Debbie Harry.
