Former “Biggest Loser” Contestant Daniel Wright Dies at 30

FormerBiggest Losercontestant Daniel Wright has died after battling leukemia. He was 30. "Yesterday the world lost a bit of its light," Wright’s former cast mate Danny Cahill wrote on Facebook on Monday. According to a GoFundMe page first published in December 2017, Wright had been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia two months earlier and underwent chemotherapy and dozens of blood transfusions as part of his cancer treatment. In December 2018, the leukemia had relapsed. Another former contestant Courtney Crozier Respess added, “I am so so heartbroken to hear about Daniel Wright this morning. He has fought SO HARD during his battle with cancer & more. This man is one of the kindest people I have ever met & is a true difference maker in this world!”E! Newsreports that Wright competed on the seventh and eighth seasons of the weight loss show.
