What's Happening In San Antonio This Week - 7/18/22

Times flies when there are rad events happening around town! This week we're getting a special visit from Tracy Morgan, celebrating Bonham Exchange's birthday, and the usual fun: live music, comedy, art, and more.

Tracy Morgan @ The Tobin Center (Thursday). Popular comedian and The Last O.G. actor Tracy Morgan will be taking the Tobin Center stage for his new comedy special No Disrespect.

POWERHOUSE!: SASAI Art Exhibit @ Carver Community Cultural Center (Thursday). The San Antonio Street Art Initiative will be hosting a new exhibit featuring works from roster artists like JENKINS2D, Kimmie The Destroyer, Paul Garson, and many more. DJ Donnie Dee will be providing tunes.

Lalo Tequila Meet & Greet @ Hotel Contessa (Friday). A celebration for National Tequila Day featuring a meet and greet with LALO Tequila creator Eduardo Gonzalez plus a complimentary tasting, swag, giveaways, and more.

41st Anniversary Party @ Bonham Exchange (Friday). A special event to celebrate 41 years of Livin' Happy at the legendary nightclub Bonham Exchange. Complete with complimentary cake and champagne, plus guest performers, gogos, and more. 18+ only!

Wonderliners @ The Blind Tiger Comedy Club (Friday). A new month of stand-up comedy where comics Dusti Rhodes, Andrew Tarr, King Kwasi, and more have to prepare jokes on the same topic. July is Movies & Television.

Float Fest @ Gonzales, TX. A weekend of music, tubing, camping, and more in the Texas Hill Country. This year's lineup includes Marshmello, Vampire Weekend, Cage The Elephant, Deadmau5, Chance the Rapper, and many more.

Read Southall Band @ Whitewater Amphitheater (Saturday). Southern rock/crunchy country group Read Southall Band will be playing along the river and under the stars with special guests Austin Meade and the Midnight River Choir.

The Upside Down @ The Rock Box (Saturday). A Stranger Things-inspired all-ages art event featuring special cast member meet & greet + Q&A with "Suzy" Gabriella Pizzolo, plus live music, live painting, live tattoo sessions, eats and drinks, and more.

Z-Fest @ Brick at Blue Star Arts Complex (Saturday). Local music showcase Z-Fest kicks off this Saturday with The Lemon Trees, Kairos, Mary Maria, and Buenos Diaz.

Black Donuts with Coffee @ Friends of Sound Records (Sunday). A strictly 45 vinyl event with sets by local rapper Baby Aztro and DJs Bill Millr, AJ21095, and DJ Low Fat Milk. Complimentary donuts and coffee will be provided while supplies last.
