Ways to Add Intensity While You Walk

Maybe you can't run...you hurt your knee or something. Maybe you don't want to run. That's ok! Walking is a great exercise. You could get more intensity from it by doing these things:

Move at a challenging but sustainable pace.

Add weighted resistance.

Vary your walking speed with intervals.

Walk at a higher elevation.

Breathe through your nose vs. your mouth.

Walk in the sand.

Incorporate strength exercises.
